— Future Music PLATINUM AWARD

Complete Composers Collection 2

Complete Composers Collection 2 includes 7 additional new products. CCC2 is the most inexpensive way to obtain our award-winning Virtual Instruments and FX, that are used and endorsed by the most successful composers in the world.

Order the standard configuration, or change any product(s) to custom build your own collection from the 20 options listed. To qualify for the discount you must select at least 7 products, and the price may change accordingly. All products are discounted at more than 70% off the individual product retail price, including any additional products you add beyond the first 7, however this discount can only be obtained during the initial purchase and is not available later.

CCC2 Download

The standard configuration of the Complete Composers Collection 2 Download is available for $699 / €524. We encourage the use of SSD drives for speed and performance.

Will my download links expire?

The download links that are issued immediately after purchase will never expire. You can download your selected products at different times convenient to you, there is no time limit.

CCC2 Hard Drive

The standard configuration of the Complete Composers Collection 2 (HD) is available for $799 / €599 including the 1TB external hard drive. Please allow additional shipping time during promotions.

What happens if I lose my data or the hard drive crashes?

Complete Composers Collection 2 is available for download or on a Western Digital 1TB USB3 (with USB2 compatibility) external hard drive (see system requirements). The supplied hard drive is subject to change without notice and may be supplied in black or silver based on availability. The hard drive comes with a Western Digital 1 year warranty. In the event a replacement drive becomes necessary we will replace the data at any time.

What are the system requirements for the supplied external hard drive?

To obtain satisfactory performance from the supplied hard drive a USB 3 compatible computer is required. If your computer does not have a USB 3 connection, you can use the USB 2 connection supplied with the hard drive to copy the data to another (non energy saving) internal hard drive of at least 7200rpm; or external hard drive of at least 7200rpm that has a Firewire 800 (not 400) connection or faster, and use the supplied hard drive for backup. USB 2 is too slow to stream ultra detailed virtual instruments, resulting in poor performance (pops/clicks/dropouts etc.). Computer powered external hard drives should be ejected prior to shutting down your computer to avoid damage to your data or the hard drive.

Can a USB 2 computer be upgraded to USB 3?

If your computer has an ExpressCard slot, you can purchase a USB 3 ExpressCard HERE. If you have a tower system you can purchase a USB 3 PCIe Card HERE.

This is my first EastWest purchase, where can I purchase the iLok security key?

Right here, and if you are a new customer you will receive a 50% discount! Add iLok2 to your cart at the bottom of the selection list and login to receive the 50% discount. One of the major benefits of iLok is portability. The iLok security key provides access to the entire collection, so you can plug in the USB3 hard drive and iLok key into any computer in any location for convenience.

COMPLETE COMPOSERS COLLECTION 2
INSTALLATION and SETUP GUIDE

The Optional Hard Drive and System Requirements

IMPORTANT: Complete Composers Collection 2 is available on a Western Digital 1TB USB 3 (with USB 2 compatibility) external hard drive (see system requirements). The available hard drive is subject to change without notice and may be supplied in black or silver based on availability. To obtain satisfactory performance from the supplied hard drive a USB 3 compatible computer is required. If your computer does not have a USB 3 connection, you can use the USB 2 connection supplied with the hard drive to copy the data to another (non energy saving) internal hard drive of at least 7200rpm, or external drive of at least 7200rpm that has a Firewire 800 (not 400) connection or preferably faster, and use the supplied hard drive for backup. USB 2 is too slow to stream these ultra detailed virtual instruments, and may result in poor performance (pops/clicks/dropouts etc.).

IMPORTANT: When shutting down your computer, eject the external hard drive first or you could lose data and/or damage the hard drive.

Please check the required specifications for the Virtual Instruments selected to ensure compatibility and optimum performance.

Can a USB 2 computer be upgraded to USB 3?

If your computer has an ExpressCard slot, you can purchase a USB 3 ExpressCard HERE. If you have a tower system you can purchase a USB 3 PCIe Card HERE.

Installation

Simply remove the hard drive and the cable from the box and plug it into a USB 3 port on your computer and you are ready to install and authorize the PLAY software.

First Time Users

The hard drive comes in the format that you ordered it in, so make sure to run the installer that corresponds to your operating system (Mac OS X, Windows 32-bit, or Windows 64-bit), located on the root level of the hard drive (if you copied the drive contents then go to the folder you copied it to).

IMPORTANT: When running the installer make sure you "check the products and version of that product, you ordered" in the product list page. Once the installer finishes your web browser will be launched to http://www.soundsonline.com/Support where you will download and install the latest version of the PLAY software.

Existing Users

Locate the installer folder on the root level of the hard drive. Make sure to run the installer that corresponds to your operating system (Mac OS X, Windows 32-bit, or Windows 64-bit) and run the installer to determine if you have the latest version of the PLAY software on your computer.

If you have an older PLAY version, then the installer will launch your web browser to http://www.soundsonline.com/Support in order to download the latest version. Once you have the latest version of the PLAY software installed, you are ready to authorize your libraries.

iLok and Authorization Code

The authorization codes (for each product you ordered) are provided in your order invoice that is either e-mailed to you.

After running the installer, navigate to the East West folder in Program Files (in Windows) and Applications Folder (in OS X), then locate and open the Authorization Wizard.

Type in your soundsonline user name, password, and authorization code. You will need to do this for each product. At the end of the process, the licenses will be deposited into your iLok account where you will go to download the licenses to your iLok security key that you already own, or purchased with this product. Once the licenses are successfully downloaded to the iLok key, you can start making music. One of the major benefits of iLok is portability. The iLok security key provides access to the entire collection, so you can plug in the USB3 hard drive and iLok key into any computer in any location.

If you do not yet have a soundsonline account, create an account here.

Loading Your First Instrument

Launch the PLAY software (standalone, or preferably as a plugin in your favorite Audio Sequencer or DAW); go to the "Browser" view. In the lower left "Favorites" panel, you will see the library entries, click on one and you will see a list of instruments appear in the columns to the right.

Click on an item ending in .ewi to select the instrument, then click on the Add button, or you can simply double-click on the .ewi file to load the instrument and you are ready to make some music.

Manual and Documentation

There is a folder called "Documentation" in the root level of the drive which contains the manual and quick guides for PLAY.

Our FAQ/Knowledgebase will answer most of your questions and can be found here: http://www.soundsonline.com/Support.
