EW/PACE iLok Security Key

The iLok hardware security key is a device that holds authorization keys and connects via the USB port to your computer. You need the iLok security key to run any EASTWEST product powered by PLAY, it does not come in the product box. One iLok key will register 100 products from companies that use the iLok security system.



The iLok Security Key is required for all products that are powered by the PLAY sample player.

Key facts:

  • The iLok Security Key can hold over 100 authorization keys and connects via the USB port to your computer. It can hold authorizations from many different manufacturers (Avid, Antares, Audio Ease, Bomb Factory, EastWest, Muse, McDSP, etc.)
  • iLok is immune to problems caused by machine upgrades, disk maintenance, hardware failures, and software updates.
  • iLok authorizations are portable, and hot-swappable between different computers. It enables you to carry all of your authorizations with you wherever you go using a single key.
  • When upgrading your computer, you can simply pull out your iLok, and plug it into your new computer and reinstall the software.
