Elektrolytic is an excellent collection of dirty Electronic loops, sounds effects, drums and percussion put together by UK-based synth guru Ian Boddy. The style isn’t strictly Electro, but it’s all 100-140bpm Dance stuff, which is pretty versatile and easy to throw into different production styles.
The quality of the samples, provided as Apple Loops, REX2 and Acdized WAVs, is superb and the drum and percussion loops are particularly impressive, with the rhythms and the sounds themselves sparking a whole load of creative ideas even on the first listen. There’s nothing completely off the wall here, but that’s the strength of the package: it’s all unusual stuff but not to the extent that it becomes unusable.
