Can I upgrade my ComposerCloud membership plan?

Yes, select your desired ComposerCloud plan above, click "BUY NOW", and choose the "I am upgrading to ComposerCloud X or Plus from another plan" option.

When does my membership begin?

As soon as you have signed up and we have received your first payment, your membership begins and you can start downloading our virtual instrument collections right away.

Do I need to be online to access my ComposerCloud products?

Our PLAY software and the virtual instrument collections will be installed directly on your desktop or hard drive, and will require your computer to be online once a month for validation. We suggest users with offline computers purchase the yearly plan which only requires syncing once a year. After download and activation you can use the instruments on or offline.

How long does it take to download products from ComposerCloud?

Most of our award-winning products offer unprecedented detail which can result in substantial file sizes. Therefore you will find it more convenient to download each product overnight using our Installation Center software. The good news is you only have to do this one time. Our Installation Center software will monitor your download with a progress bar and will resume any partially downloaded product should there be any interruption. The Installation Center also gets you activated so you are ready to make some music!

Can I purchase the libraries on a hard drive instead of downloading them?

Yes, the CCC Gold hard drive is available for purchase here. This is ideal for customers with slow or limited internet or require additional hard drive storage.

Do I need an iLok security key to use products from ComposerCloud?

No! For the first time, we are offering iLok machine (electronic) licenses that are placed on your computer that do not require the separate purchase of an iLok2 security key. However, if you already have an iLok2 security key you can choose to use that instead for portability, and everything will still work as before. You will select between a iLok machine (electronic) license or iLok2 security key in the Installation Center during the activation of any product. Please note: ComposerCloud is not compatible with iLok1.

Can I use the products I've downloaded on multiple machines?

For iLok machine (electronic) licenses, activation is limited to one machine per individual connected with a membership. If you upgrade your computer equipment you can deactivate your license and reactivate on your new computer. To use ComposerCloud on multiple computers you have the iLok2 key option.

Can I continue to purchase perpetual licenses for individual products?

Yes, with some exceptions, our products will still be available for individual purchase, and any products you purchased previously will always be available to you, whether you retain your ComposerCloud membership or not. Purchased products are in addition to ComposerCloud products so you could use these on multiple computers at the same time.

What happens to my compositions if I cancel my membership?

Nothing will happen to your compositions if you pause or cancel your membership. Anything composed during your membership will be yours to use as you choose forever. You simply won't be able to access the instruments as before to create new compositions. In the unlikely event you decide to cancel you can render (bounce) the instruments in your compositions to your digital audio workstation before you leave.

What if I have issues downloading my products?

If you are having an issue and cannot find a solution at our SUPPORT CENTER, click on SUBMIT A CASE and provide the requested information. Support Cases are answered in the order received, we do not offer phone support, though our support team may contact you by phone or email to help resolve your issue.

What are the system requirements?

System requirements are published on the product page for each collection. Mac OSX 10.7 or later; or Windows 7 or later are required to use ComposerCloud.

In which countries can I purchase a ComposerCloud membership?

ComposerCloud is a worldwide service.

Where can I find the terms and conditions for a ComposerCloud membership?

The use of ComposerCloud is governed by our Terms of Use, which also include our End User License Agreement (EULA); iLok.com Terms and Conditions of Use; and Privacy Policy.
